Emmanuel’s Village is a tiny home community in Marietta dedicated to providing stability, resources, and care for homeless students and their families. Our mission is to move these families from survival to stability, offering them a place to call home and the support they need to thrive.

Our Story

In obedience to The Lord’s calling for his life, 9-year old Luke Holm started a movement to help others. In the fall of 2014 Luke met a homeless man named Tim in his hometown of Marietta, Georgia. After spending some time together, Luke felt the Lord’s call to make a difference in this man’s life by raising money to build him a home. Using his Grandmommy’s famous sweet and spicy pickles, Luke found the perfect recipe for success, Pickles with a Purpose!

Luke’s passion for serving his community is the inspiration behind Emmanuel's Village. As we became more aware of the heartbreaking reality of student homelessness in our own community, we knew we had to take action. Emmanuel’s Village was born out of a desire to provide more than just temporary relief. We wanted to create a true home—a place where families could find stability, resources, and a path forward.

Our Mission

Emmanuel’s Village exists to move families from survival to stability by providing housing, essential resources, and a community where they can rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Our Vision

During the 2023-24 school year, 564 students in Marietta City Schools and 1,941 students in Cobb County Schools experienced homelessness. These numbers represent more than statistics—they are children in our own community facing uncertainty every day.

We envision a future where no child in Marietta goes unhoused. Through the creation and expansion of transitional housing communities, we are committed to providing families with stability, support, and a path forward.

We will achieve this vision by:

  • Building additional transitional housing communities that provide safe, supportive environments for families to rebuild their lives.
  • Collaborating with local organizations and schools to provide access to resources that support education, employment, and personal growth.
  • Expanding community partnerships to advocate for affordable housing and work toward systemic change that prevents homelessness.
  • Empowering families by offering not just a roof over their heads, but the tools, support, and care they need to thrive.

Our Values

  • Faith-Centered – Guided by Christ’s love in all we do.
  • Transformative Community – Creating spaces where lives are restored and strengthened.
